Superfood Chocolate Chip Cookies


Chocolate chip cookies are one of my favorite treats to enjoy when I’m craving something sweet. I’ve worked for years to perfect a recipe that is simple, quick, and uses minimal pure ingredients. While I, and my family, really enjoy the recipe I now use, I thought I would try switching it up a bit and adding healthy ingredients to the mix so I can actually feel good about indulging. I made a batch and they were a hit! The kids are still begging for them, despite the good stuff packed into these cookies, which makes me feel better than just letting them eat regular cookies. In fact, I almost want to make sure they eat these daily! Try a batch and see if you like them too.


These chocolate chip cookies are filled with ingredients so good for you they might even be called healthy cookies. They certainly are better for you than traditional cookies. Make a batch and feel less guilty about indulging.



  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1/4 cup kids chocolate flavored Amazing Grass Superfood powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup Sugar in the Raw
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup coarsely ground cacao nibs
  • 1/4 cup raw shelled hemp seeds




  1. preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. combine flour, baking soda, salt, and superfood powder in a large mixing bowl
  3. in a separate bowl, mix together very soft, almost melted butter, raw sugar, and vanilla, then add eggs and stir until blended
  4. pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until combined
  5. add nuts, cacao nibs, chocolate chips, and hemp seeds and stir until combined
  6. drop dough (about 2 TB each) onto greased cookie sheets
  7. bake for about 10 minutes or until bottoms are just starting to get brown
  8. get a glass of delicious, high calcium cashew milk and enjoy! (once cooled)
