Piggy Paints Non-Toxic Nail Polish Review

0

Fabulous as they are, most nail polishes are made of a long list of hard to pronounce chemicals. The list tends to get even nastier when you add special features like “quick dry”, “long lasting”, and “special effects”. Going natural with nail polish is something a lot of women struggle with. They may think the natural ones won’t function the same as the conventional ones they are used to. Maybe they think it’s not worth the extra price. It’s important to embrace the change as we continue to live a natural, healthier lifestyle, eliminating all the yucky stuff from our world. Natural nail polish does exist, and many of them perform quite well. Here is the review of just one great natural nail polish brand. Piggy Paint.

We previously purchased a few different colors to try out like “Periwinkle Little Star“, “Sweet Pea“, and “Dragon Tears“. We fell in love instantly! Now, the Piggy Paint website has been completely re-done and they have included a whole collection of wonderful products to choose from. Not only do they carry regular nail polish, which is focused mainly on kids (including a Fancy Nancy line), they also have paint for puppy toes, a grown up colors line, natural hair products for kids, and adorable nail accessories.

Both the kids and I sat down to paint our nails with our new Piggy Paints together. We did not apply a base coat, though the company does carry both base and top coats. We just applied it to our bare nails to really test out how strong the polish itself would be, because we had heard stories of it chipping fast. Our polish lasted over 4 days before it started to wear off. After that, we tried it again with the top coat, and the results were even better.  I’d say most of the time we paint our nails with Piggy Paints (using the top coat and no base), we get a solid week out of them. Well, I do. My Daughter usually picks hers off within a day or two. Either way, that seems pretty average to me when thinking about the chemical polishes we were used to.

When you consider about how much the “quality” polish costs these days, $7.99 for a bottle of Piggy Paint really is comparable. Better even. (Remember to grab the natural nail polish remover, too!) Keep in mind, you are paying for quality here too… quality of health.

Now, I just have to pace the spending, because they carry glitter paint, shimmer paint, glow in the dark paint, and well… paint for my sweet little pup. This natural family highly approves of Piggy Paint!

P.S. The genius name!?
