This week’s book is the first, in a series of three, and is full of excitement sure to leave you anxious to read more by the time you reach the end. Jim Morgan and the King of Thieves is a thrilling adventure into a world filled with pirates, magical amulets, mysterious letters, faithful friends, and many lessons that will test a young boy’s bravery, honor, and judgement. It’s a lively tale dreamers of all ages will enjoy.

I had the pleasure of meeting the author, James Matlack Raney, at an event at my children’s school a few months back. I love to support artists and writers, so I made sure to purchase all three books in the series via my favorite green format: Kindle e-book. Listening to him speak to the kids about writing, hearing about his personal writing story, and hearing how great he was answering all the questions the children had for him made me feel confident that he knew how to tell an interesting story to a young audience. We read Jim Morgan and the King of Thieves over the next couple months during our nightly story time and we couldn’t put it down! He certainly captivated this audience of three. Without a doubt, I know there are so many more out there who have been, and will be, entranced by the Jim Morgan series.

Are you a Morganite yet?
