Easy Homemade Toothpaste

I tried a variety of homemade toothpastes including a basic baking soda and peroxide combination. I didn’t have a lot of success with any of them. Then I discovered the use of clay in homemade toothpaste. The kids and I have been satisfied with the texture of this clay recipe which we have been using for the past two months. We all enjoy the flavor and feel that our mouths are clean when we are finished. Disinfecting Thyme Kitchen Cleaner

When I was making the switch from the commercial brand name cleaners I grew up with, to the natural ingredient homemade cleaners I now use in my own home, I had a tough time adjusting to the lack of disinfectants. I came from a Clorox and Lysol household where I felt that if I did not use those cleaning products, evil germs were microscopically waiting around to infect us with disease. Clearly, this isn’t entirely true. The most important element to keeping the germs away (or reduced) is regular washing and cleaning. This can be done with nature.

I started whipping up batches of this cleaner to use as my kitchen spray cleaner and I loved it so much it became my entire house cleaner. I’m sensitive to any artificial scent, so I find the earthy smell of the thyme wonderful and soothing.
