Natural Car Cleaning Recipes

It’s not necessary to buy all those chemical filled cleaners and sprays when you want to shine up your car and make it pretty. Just because a bottle says “car wash” on it, doesn’t make it a better soap for your car. It’s just marketing. (Learning about marketing techniques will save you a lot of time and money in life… but that’s for another post.) When it comes to cars, most people want to buy car specific products to make sure no harsh solvents harm the clear coat on their pricey, moving investments. In the green world, we wouldn’t want to use those products anyway. If it can potentially harm your vehicles clear coat, why would it be alright to rinse off and absorb into the Earth!? Here are all the basics needed to keep your auto clean and fresh. Without harming anyone, or anything in the process. Continue reading

Eliminating commercial, often chemical filled, oral hygiene products from our home is one transition many people have a hard time with. Sometimes, even when a switch is made, the commitment doesn’t remain, so one may go back to the products they are used to. Continue reading

You may or may not have seen (and used) a sauna before. They are commonly found in spas and health clubs, and for good reason. Saunas are a therapeutic approach to natural healing that blend well with the relaxation achieved in a spa, or the body toning and strengthening done at a gym. Regular use of a sauna can help reduce stress, improve circulation, and help remove toxins from the body. Continue reading

Why You Should Drink Hot Lemon Water Every Morning

Everyday we are exposed to so many chemicals, inside our body, as well as outside. It’s hard to maintain a clean eating habit in a world so overrun with food additives and preservatives. Even if you are able to eat organic everything and avoid all chemicals in your home, you will be exposed to things that may prevent your optimal health. Natural things like stress, anxiety, emotions, and toxins are still part of our bodies and can create an imbalance inside of us that puts us at higher risk of getting sick. Continue reading

Naturally Reduce Fleas

Between our short haired Italian Greyhound Chihuahua, and our indoor cat, (and we don’t have carpet) we’ve had such a bad flea problem that I can’t even imagine how bad the families with long haired, outdoor pets (with carpet) have it. We’ve tried a handful of natural products to get a grip on the problem. We haven’t been able to get rid of the fleas entirely. I’m sure we just have to wait for the weather to change before we can do that. I do think that the products we’ve tried so far have helped to keep the flea population reduced a bit compared to not applying anything. These are the products we tried this season… Continue reading
