Christmas All Year With Monthly Letters From Santa

0

Every holiday season seems to go the same way. We start out excited about pulling out the decorations, setting up the advent calendar, welcoming the elves back, and planning all the festivities for the month of December. I get excited to finish the Christmas shopping early so I can enjoy a more peaceful season than the previous year (which never happens). In the meantime, the kids are getting excited to write out a gift list for Santa with the hopes that they’ve made it onto the nice list this year. While the Holiday season can be incredibly busy, and even exhausting toward the end, seeing children’s faces light up after a visit from Santa is one of the most magical moments of the year. It truly makes up for the holiday craze that precedes it. Finding a way to spread some of that magic throughout the year is a special thing for parents and children. Signing up to get monthly letters from Santa himself is an excellent way to achieve that goal.

When my children first got their letters from the North Pole, they were in complete awe. They were thrilled to see that Santa had thought about them in the middle of the year, and beyond that, gave them a little activity to keep them entertained. Aged 6 and 8, they both ripped open the authentic envelope and read the letters out loud. They said Santa was kind to send them a letter and a small gift.

Along with their fully personalized letters (there is also a monthly template option), Santa sent them an activity page of stickers and a garden box. They had to “plant” vegetables in the soil. Each month they get a different activity page to play with or directions to make a new craft. Each month they get a letter that explains the activity or a personalized letter specific to each child. Santa always knows what’s going on with the kids, right? He just may mention what your children have been up to so they remain aware of the fact that he’s paying attention to the kind things they do throughout the year. I found it to be incredibly helpful that Santa threw in a few lines reminding my children to play respectfully with each other because they had been fighting a lot.
